    it's been more than 20 years since I last used a sewing machine and I've just bought the Brother FS70WT. Thank you so much! Your videos have made the transition to a modern machine so much easier

    As a complete newbie this is the best video I've seen re threading a bobbin. Already watched the automatic needle threader vid and achieved it when the Brother instructions had defeated me. Will check, but is there one on what everything on the machine does? Mine is a Brother HF27 😊

    If used in a microwave, won't the foil backed wadding spark?

      I think this cozy is just meant to make your hot or cold casserole dish easier to move and transport, and insulate it a bit. It shouldn't be used in a microwave like a bowl cozy would.

    What kind of batting did you use. I would like a thin one. Wrap and zap is to thick and I don't think it holds up very well. I used cotton interfacing that is many years old and that holds up really nice

    Like this for how concise yet detailed it is. I sell these using tea towels and upcycle other fabrics....perfect for hot AND cold bowls. Ice cream ideal for kids in bowl cosies at picnics and equally usefull for eating soup , pasta dishes, and hot deserts. A truly versatile make!

    Hi, after watching your videos on the unpacking, threading and needle threadling, I've decided to buy this machine. Just one question, do you have the walking foot? If so, which one is it? Great videos and really helpful thanks

    • @TodayweCraft
      @TodayweCraft 2 місяці тому

      @@TodayweCraft Hi, thanks for such a fast reply. I've done a bit of research and if you did want a walking foot there are two types for this machine. The first one is a open toe walking foot. Product number F062 also a 7 mm horizontal product number F033N I hope this helps you and please keep making the videos. They are very helpful and informative for a new sower like me

    • @TodayweCraft
      @TodayweCraft 2 місяці тому

      Try dropping a tiny bit of WD40 or machine oil on each screw and leave it overnight. Then try to undo them again in the morning and see if they have loosened.

    I really wanna make this for both me and my mom! Could I use like a general blanket fleece instead of cotton batting/wadding? Or would that cause a fire if I put it in the microwave?

    • @TodayweCraft
      @TodayweCraft 2 місяці тому

      You should be fine with fleece. personally I wouldn't recommend putting anything that can melt in the microwave but I have made these with fleece and they have worked.

    Yes, sewing machines get me excited! For Christmas last year, I upgraded my Brother GS2510 to a Brother Innov-is A150!! And oml the difference!! I loved my GS2510 very much, she is a work horse, and I was able to sell her on to a friend. I wanted to keep her for top stitching, but I just don't have the room for her in my sewing room 😢
